Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 of the BEST Chaffles Ever
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 slice (1 oz.) Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 lb. (4 oz.) shaved corned beef
  • 3 tbsp. sauerkraut
  • 2 tbsp. Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet on medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each Chaffle.
  3. Spread non-buttered sides evenly with Thousand Island dressing.
  4. On one Chaffle, layer Swiss cheese, corned beef and sauerkraut.
  5. Top with remaining Chaffle, buttered side out.
  6. Grill Chaffle until both sides are golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  7. Cut into halves and serve.

Notes

Add caraway seeds to the Chaffle mixture before cooking to give a more authentic rye bread flavor. Use a mortar and pestle to grind up the seeds prior to adding it to bring out the flavor.
